Hello

I'm proud to say that I am the CEO of PocketHR™, still serving the American public.  After having spent 30 years serving in various capacities at the local, state, and federal levels I am humbled to be able to continue to offer high quality services to the American people.  I know I still sound like I'm in the public sector, however I believe the private sector should be no different.

What PocketHR is

PocketHR is an HR consulting resource built for employees. We help you understand your workplace rights in plain language, navigate HR processes and procedures, prepare documentation, and advocate effectively for yourself at work.

What PocketHR is not

PocketHR does not provide legal advice, and using PocketHR does not create an attorney-client relationship. We are not a law firm, and nothing on this site or app should be understood as a legal opinion, legal representation, or a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney.

Specifically, PocketHR does not:

  • Evaluate the facts of your individual situation to tell you whether something is illegal or whether you have a legal claim

  • Advise you on whether to pursue legal action, file a charge, or settle a dispute

  • Draft legal filings or represent you in any legal or administrative proceeding

  • Guarantee any outcome based on the information or guidance we provide

What PocketHR does provide

  • General, educational information about workplace rights and protections (e.g., how reasonable accommodation requests generally work, what anti-discrimination laws generally cover)

  • Training and webinars to help you to be better equipped and prepared to address everyday employment  issues.

  • Guidance on HR processes — how to document an issue, how to structure a request, how to prepare for a conversation with HR or a manager

  • Information and guidance on federal and private sector EEO processes including mediation.

  • Provides institutional knowledge on FMLA, FLSA, Compensation, Classification, and other employment programs.

  • Communication and self-advocacy coaching to help you present your situation clearly and effectively

  • Referrals to the appropriate resource — such as the EEOC, your state labor agency, or a licensed employment attorney — when your situation calls for legal evaluation

Vision Statement:

To democratize the employment landscape by putting HR consultants, training, webinars, and community events within reach of every worker and job seeker — no matter their budget.

Mission Statement:

PocketHR democratizes the employment landscape by connecting employees and applicants to HR consultants, online training, webinars, and local events — all at a nominal cost — so that professional support is never out of reach.

Core Values

Access Over Exclusivity
We believe HR expertise shouldn't be a privilege reserved for large companies or those who can afford premium services. We build for the many, not the few.

Affordability with Integrity
We keep costs nominal without cutting corners on quality — because a price barrier is still a barrier, no matter how small.

Empowerment Through Knowledge
We equip people with real, usable HR knowledge and training so they can advocate for themselves at every stage of their career — from job search to workplace conflict to growth.

Community, Not Just Content
Webinars and local events matter as much as training modules. We believe people grow faster together than alone, and we invest in real human connection, not just digital resources.

Transparency
We give people clear, honest information about their rights, options, and next steps — no jargon, no gatekeeping.

Human-Centered Design
Every product decision starts with the employee or applicant's actual experience, not just what's easiest for us to build.
