How Do We Store, Use, Share, and Disclose Your Information?
Our Site is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides the online infrastructure that allows us to operate the Site and deliver our Services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com's data storage, databases, and applications, on secure servers behind a firewall.
All payment processing used on our Site adheres to PCI-DSS standards (the security standard maintained by the PCI Security Standards Council, supported by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), helping ensure secure handling of payment information.
We may share information with:
-
Service providers who help us operate the Site (e.g., Wix, payment processors, email and analytics tools)
-
Legal authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of PocketHR, our users, or others
-
Successors, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets
We do not share the content of your HR questions or workplace details with employers or unrelated third parties except as described above or with your consent.
How Do We Communicate With You?
We may contact you to respond to inquiries, provide updates about your account or bookings, resolve disputes, collect payment, request feedback, or share updates about PocketHR. We may communicate via email, phone, text message, or postal mail. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.
How Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Tools?
Our Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate site features, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use our Services. Third-party tools (such as analytics or advertising services available through the Wix App Market) may place their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect Site functionality.
How Can You Withdraw Consent or Update Your Information?
If you no longer want us to process your personal information, or wish to access, correct, amend, or delete it, contact us at info@pockethr.consulting or by mail at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Relationship to Our Terms of Service
PocketHR does not provide legal advice, and use of the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Submitting an HR question does not guarantee confidentiality protections equivalent to attorney-client privilege. Please review our Terms of Service for additional detail.
Our Mobile Application
The PocketHR mobile application is available on both iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play).
-
Permissions: The App does not currently request access to your camera, photos, location, contacts, or other device-level permissions beyond what is required for basic account and notification functionality.
-
Push notifications: [Confirm: if the App sends push notifications, describe what they're used for — e.g., booking reminders, course updates — and note that users can disable them in device settings.]
-
Analytics and crash reporting: [Confirm whether the App uses any third-party SDKs, such as Firebase, Google Analytics, or crash-reporting tools. If so, name the provider(s) here and briefly describe what data they collect (e.g., device type, crash logs, usage patterns). This must be accurate, as both Apple and Google require app privacy disclosures to match actual data practices.]
-
App store disclosures: In addition to this Privacy Policy, PocketHR maintains an Apple App Store "Privacy Nutrition Label" and a Google Play "Data Safety" section, both of which must accurately reflect the data types collected and their purposes. These disclosures should be kept in sync with this policy whenever either is updated.
-
Data collected in the App: The App may collect the same categories of information described above (account details, HR question submissions, booking information) when accessed through the App rather than the Site.
Note: Before publishing, confirm with whoever built or maintains the App exactly which SDKs, analytics tools, and permissions are in use. Apple and Google can reject app updates — or flag existing apps — if the declared privacy disclosures don't match the app's actual behavior, so accuracy here matters more than completeness of language.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
Privacy Policy Updates
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on this page so you understand what information we collect, how it's used, and under what circumstances it may be shared.
